Jared Johnson is excited to rejoin his children on the MiOpera stage, after having made his MiOpera debut in 2023’s Pirates of Penzance.  Jared’s amateur career began as a 7th and 8th grader with the role of Amahl in Illinois Wesleyan University’s productions of Amahl and the Night Visitors.  As a high schooler he enjoyed several roles, including Big Deal (West Side Story), Bratt (How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying), the Minstrel (Once Upon A Mattress), and Tommy (Brigadoon).  At Illinois Wesleyan University, he toured with the Collegiate Choir and appeared on stage as a Peer in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe.  More recently, he played the role of Fagin in Oliver! (Bloomington Parks and Rec).
