Stephanie Tokarz, soprano

Role: Sorceress/Ensemble

Soprano Stephanie Tokarz holds a Performance Diploma from Indiana University, Master of Music from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University. Past roles include Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Princess Ida in Princess Ida, and Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas; in recent years Stephanie has enjoyed working with the IU Opera, and Toledo Opera Choruses. Stephanie has been honored to be a Laffont Competition District winner (Kansas City 2020), as winner of the Conrad Art Song Competition (2013), and has been honored by the Saskachewan Music Festival in the genres of Opera, J.S. Bach, and Canadian Art Song. She enjoys working with choral societies as well as programming art song recitals, and is thrilled to be back with MIOpera for this wonderful production of Dido and Aeneas. Stephanie currently lives in Bloomington, IN with her husband and three cats.
